Dehradun is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas on the Doon Valley and between the two very famous rivers of India, the Ganges and the Yamuna River. River Ganga is in its east and Yamuna river is in its west. The city is famous for its Picturesque landscape. Dehradun is connected to Himalayan tourist places like Mussoorie, Auli and Hindu religious places like Haridwar, Rishikesh etc. That's why it is also called Chhota Char Dham. 

1.Lachhiwala

Lachhiwala is a very famous picnic spot, which is 22 km from Dehradun on Haridwar and Rishikesh road, it is surrounded by dense forests. It is very nice place for picnic with family.

2.Guchchu Pani 

It is inside a cave called “Robbers Cave” It is a very famous picnic spot. It is located near Anarwala village, 8 km from Dehradun. People enjoy the cool water here which is the natural beauty of this place.

3.Malsi Deer Park 

Dehradun's very famous and national park is "Rajaji National Park". This is the second most attractive park after Rajaji National Park in Dehradun. It is at a distance of 10 km from Dehradun on Mussoorie road. It is also very good place for picnic with family.

4.Sahastradhara 

This is a very famous tourist place in Dehradun. Sahastradhara means thousands of streams. It is 14 km away from Dehradun on the Baldi river. A large number of people come here for sightseeing. Apart from this, there are two more falls "Shikhar Fall" and "Tiger Fall" in Dehradun which are very famous.

5.Ghanta Ghar

This place is a very famous place in Dehradun. Which is located in the center of Dehradun city, it is also a big landmark.

This is the heart of Dehradun city which is the most famous and religious place of Dehradun. It was established in the 17th century. This place is a very old holy and religious place for Sikhism. It is related to the First World War, it was a bloody battle in which many people lost their lives. Along with "Dev Bhoomi" it is also called "Veer Bhoomi".
