In 2019, Jatin Bora and Navneeta Sharma's JB Productions released the action-thriller film Ratnakar: A New Myth of Love in the Assamese Language. Apart from Bora and Barsa Rani Bishya, the film also stars young Ashramika Saikia, Nishita Goswami, Pabitra Bora, Chetna Das and Sanjeev Hazarika in small parts.


Box office collection

On October 11, 2019, Ratnakar was launched in 59 Assam theaters and 11 theaters across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The film received a favorable reception from the public; During its first three days, about 80% of theaters were full. The highest ever opening day take for an Assamese film was 42 lakhs. The film earned 49.5 lakhs on its second day of release. On its third and fourth day, it earned 55 lakh and 43 lakh respectively, taking its total to 1.89 crore. The film has become the highest grosser of the first week in the Assamese film industry with a total of 3.31 crores. After earning 68 lakhs on October 21, 2019 (a Sunday), the film earned 4.95 crores in 10 days. It earned ₹6.63 crore in two weeks, an Assamese box-office record. According to Ratnakar's distributors, the film earned ₹9.23 crore as of 14 November 2019.
